-
Anyone who registers and complies with the registration and participation rules may participate. In the event that a participant is a minor, they must present an authorization letter with the consent of parents or guardians.
-
It is exclusively the responsibility of each participating fisherman to know and observe these tournament rules; therefore, by registering, they are bound to read, understand, and abide by them.
-
In addition to these registration and participation rules, all participants must observe and comply with state and federal rules and regulations regarding sport fishing and navigation.
-
Up to four participants per team may register according to the capacity of the vessel in which they will participate, plus two crew members on board the cruisers, and a maximum of three fishermen plus one crew member on board the super pangas, or as provided by the maritime authority in the maritime safety certificate of each vessel in question.
-
The deadline to register will be Friday, July 17, 2026, until 20:00 hours, and may be done in advance on previous days by telephone, online (internet), via WhatsApp, or in person at the host hotel, Hotel Palmas de Cortez, on July 16 and 17, 2026, from 16:00 hours to 20:00 hours, which must be carried out jointly with the Port Captaincy of Los Barriles to obtain the corresponding departure authorization.
-
The registration fee will be $800.00 dollars (eight hundred dollars 00/100 USD) per team or its equivalent in national currency at the exchange rate defined by the tournament director on the day the registration is made.

-
It will be the obligation of the registered participating teams to attend or pass by the tournament officials on Saturday, July 18, 2026, prior to the start signal, between 06:00 hours and 07:00 hours to show their team number from on board the vessel in which they are participating. The officials will be on board a vessel directly in front of the Hotel Palmas de Cortez dock carrying out this verification. Any team that fails to show its team number before 07:00 hours will be disqualified from the tournament without the right to a refund of the registration fee.
-
The tournament will officially begin with the start signal that will be given on Saturday, July 18, 2026, in front of the Hotel Palmas de Cortez at exactly 07:00 hours

The company will award a NEW TOYOTA HILUX (subject to change) to the team and/or fisherman who has caught the heaviest dorado and has fully complied with all the tournament rules. Likewise, there will be consolation prizes for the team that catches the second and third heaviest dorado. There will also be additional consolation prizes for the teams that catch the heaviest wahoo and tuna.

-
Only one piece per species may be weighed by each participating team (dorado, wahoo, tuna) and in the event that more than one piece of each species has been caught, it will be the responsibility of each team to decide which piece to weigh.
-
The tournament director has the authority to grant permission to waive this rule in the event that someone's health or safety is at risk.
